Race #11 Recap – Cash Dash, Ride Along, and Dusty Clunker

This week we had a ton of fun going on! Race #11 featured the Beginner / Junior Ride-A-Long, Elite Short Course Cash Dash, and Dusty Clunker Competition sponsored by Revolution Bike Fest. Oh… And did we mention it was HOT! Kudos to everyone that came out to race in the dust and heat.
Elite Cash Dash
The second Elite Cash Dash of the 2016 season featured a shortened course with a total of 7 laps for the men and 5 laps for the women. Daniel Johnson took first place in the Elite Men’s 44 and under category, Amanda Nauman took the top spot for the Elite Women, and Espen Kateraas won the short course race for the Men 45 and above category.
Beginner / Junior Ride-A-Long
During the weeks that we have an Elite Short Course Race at OTH, our elite riders are paired up with beginner and junior riders for the duration of the standard race. They serve as coaches and mentors for our beginner and junior rides providing advice and encouragement throughout the race. Thanks to our elite racers!
Dusty Clunker Competition
Revolution Bike Fest sponsored a dusty clunker competition this week at OTH. If it had two wheels and could move around a set of two cones, you could enter. Three of the four contestants won some pretty cool shirts!
