With November 9th date quickly approaching Mike Hooker, OCMTB Co-Race Director, has shared the details.
Sport, Elite, Single Speed, Clydesdale, and 60+ Classes will race the long course

18 Miles of goodness for the Long Course, starting at Irvine Lake and headed over Santiago Canyon Road into Limestone Canyon. OC MTB Races is excited to offer the mountain bike community a thrilling XC race in Orange County. This race takes place in a spectacular protected wildland, Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve. These rarely open lands will captivate riders with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, Irvine Lake, and the Cleveland National Forest. $2,500 CA$H purse for the top 5 male/female finishers and top 3 in class take home OC MTB trophies!

Race Location: Hosted by OC MTB Limestone Canyon Wilderness Park. Start/Finish is at the Over the Hump Venue
Race Day Parking: CASH only $5/car for parking unless you drive a Mazda, then it is free

Race Day Check in:
- Please go to the Over the Hump Registration if you registered at raceoc.com to pick up your plate (otherwise pick up at OC MTB booth
- Get your calf marked, and you must go through number plate transponder reader to activate your timin
- Staging instructions (Note: please be super sober/real about your wave start selection.)
- WAVE 1. All Male Racers OC MTB Racers for top 5 overall male cash purse contention and Over the Hump Elite + Super Sport no other classes will qualify for OC MTB podium places or cash.
- All other Over the Hump Racers Sport, Mens 60+, Clydes, Single Speed will start with their respective groups, or WILL NOT BE SCORED if you do not start with your groups.
- OCMTB Racers also participating in Over the Hump Series points: will be in respective OTH class selection MUST START WITH YOUR CHOSEN OTH CLASS TO QUALIFY FOR OTH POINTS.
◦All Female Racers, Women contenders in all Women's Classes will be released after the Men's Sport 50

Course Information:
- Trail Description: singletrack and fire roads
Elevation gain: 2827.8ft. - Pre-riding the course is not allowed unless it occurs during the partial lap practice on race day, on wilderness access days or docent-led activities. Unauthorized access or Pre-riding the course will jeopardize our ability to offer these events and result in disqualification

May I use my September registration to pay for the November race?
I’m not in charge of that Stephen, but if you’re racing Masters Elite I would support you in that 🙂
We can apply a full credit to short course on Nov 9. Otherwise the long course on Nov 9th is an added $25 to make the full $65 and participate in rhe OC MTB Limestone long course (or we can keep it for the Dec 14 long course, your choice).
