Bike Religion introduces Fair Dinkum Coffee and Beer Co
Bike Religion is something we all understand. And as Bike Religion introduces Fair Dinkum Coffee and Beer Co it’s a great compliment to our 2 wheeled passion.
Bike Religion is this week’s Featured Shop…so we thought we’d take a minute to show you what’s happening in Dana Point.
I asked Michael Lanzon, owner and creator of Fair Dinkum what the name means. Lanzon says, “the real deal. Food done right, excellent coffee and beer, and a place for the community hang and enjoy the space.”
[fair] • [dink-uhm]
AUSTRALIAN SLANG; VERB
1. HONEST OR TRUE, GENUINE
2.TO PROCLAIM A FACT OR TRUTH IN A STATEMENT, THE “REAL DEAL.”
The ideology behind Fair Dinkum Coffee and Beer Co. was to create an authentic place for people to hang. A viscerally true and genuine experience – where people would say, “Now, that’s Fair Dinkum.”
A vision of founder Michael Lanzon’s since he was a kid surfing in Sydney, Australia. He always imagined creating a clean and sharing lifestyle space where people would congregate and escape from their daily routines – have a coffee or a beer with some complimenting food. Such places usually display pictures of bikers gathering, pouring beer into glasses from bar beer dispensers, eating delicious food, and chatting with friends.
Dana Point, California is where this vision has become reality.
As I stopped by Bike Religion the weekend before the Dana Point Grand Prix, I met Michael having breakfast with his daughter and was met with a line of lively guests that Saturday morning in April. It still smells and looks like a bike shop, with all the traditional accessories, tires, tubes, and service….just the front of the store got a face lift and has offered the biker and not-yet-biker a place to meet and the middle and share other passions.
If you want to see life done right, drop into Bike Religion & Fair Dinkum for a great pairing of passions.
