Mike Franze, the owner and main personality behind Fullerton Bikes and Buena Park Bikes, sent us a pretty awesome email about his thoughts on why Over the Hump is so awesome. So we got out to give Mike some camera time. Listen to Mike talk bikes, racing, his Son, religion and more.

Well guys another season has come and gone! Best ever. I will tell you more at the end of this e mail.
As you know your impact is huge! I’m sure you hear this time and time again It is just over the HUMP……..
Well here are my words to that saying
It is just over the HUMP…… Southern Cal biggest MTB race, 400-650 racers every Tuesday night… who else can do that??
It is just over the HUMP…… Where you have some of the fastest racers on bikes, Nat champs, State champs and Cycling most from all types, Road, MTB, BMX etc
It is Just over the HUMP…… Each and every major bike company is at the event.Owners of bikes shops hanging out etc etc etc
It is Just over the HUMP….. massive kids race with a group of ilfe leaders and believers in Christ changing kids each and every race
It is Just over the HUMP….. More prizes and awards than any other race in the USA…
It is just over the HUMP….. with the guys that run it care about each racer and have built a series on fellowship and being in a group of GREAT people
My list can go on for hours……
For me this was a year of growth with in myself and I really took notice of that thru your event. I was racing with 3 guys that all had the same beleif as us, so when that hit me I was not worried about a win, Sure I went for it but as long as we all knew we where doing it for the Glory of GOD things changed and for me to Give my Glory to GOD in front of 200 people and have Matt tell the guys that I would thank Jesus for my win. That was amazzzzzing! THANKS Matt, a night I will not ever forget.
So, yes in closing it is JUST OVER THE HUMP… Just another bike race?? NO WAY!
Matt you said see you in 8 months, No we need to find time to do some off season riding! As I say Homies for Life.. Friends till the end….
Your guys have blessed me more than words can speak and I’m greatful for what you have done and the postive impact you have had on my life and I have made soo many life long freinds thru your event!
