End of the season? Hooey! With the Race 11 Recap there’s more to celebrate than ever. 10 Years, a 14% growth racing year over 2018 (which was up 5% over 2017). We’ve had such a blast I cannot believe it’s almost over.
Staci Nash Leads Out the Girls Clinic
Yes, school started Tuesday for many, but Staci Nash came out and stirred up the fun for the 6-8 yr old girls with a clinic, contests and swag. Staci is a “late starter” in the mountain bike racing, but races Elite for Baghouse/Specialized/Rock N Road Cyclery. She brought out Contests and fun.
Cycleogical gave away a carbon wheelset and tons of other goodies from Leatt, Intense, and Tasco as this week’s featured shop.
Fastest Lap
Lap Primes went out to fastest in each category thanks to Rausch Physical Therapy. $1,000 got earmarked for the fastest lap in each Adult Category in $20’s and $50’s. Here’s the list of winners if you want to see if you missed picking yours up.
The Team competition stays hot with small and large teams. Here’s how we stand now.
Note: best 10 of 12 scores kept for team competition, so it’s going to shift again.

Next week is the season finale, you’ll want to be here for your Simple Green Leader’s presentations, podiums, and a all-around good time to put the cherry on top of an amazingly memorable summer at OTH.

Who knew you could get soaked, slip n’ slide at a bike race…(Cannondale did last year) so we rolled out the preverbal black plastic and water hose for some fast slipping.
We look forward to seeing the top racers on Tuesday, celebrate their podium finishes. As a reminder we go 5 places deep for the season finale awards for 12 race classes, and 3 deep for Beginner and Intermediate classes.
Finale schedule is as follows.
Tuesday August 27
- 4:00pm Registration opens onsite/Expo Open
- 4:30pm Preride opens
- 5:20pm Kid’s race stages/5:30 Race start
- 6:00pm Main event start
- 7:15pm Awards ceremony begins
- kid’s raffle two Trek Roscoe’s (register at Linked Cycling booth)
- Giant Bicycles Two Cruisers giveaway, must be present and racing to win on Tuesday
- 7:30-8:30pm Podium and Team Competition Announcements
