Finale Schedule Tuesday August 28

The OTH finale tomorrow night is your chance to put a cherry on top of your summer! 

Summer in OC has been home to OTH for the 10 summers now, and it’s a bitter sweet. Lots to celebrate, and a little “bummer factor”, too! As a racer Mom, and racer runner (alongside her daughter during the kid’s race)Rebecca Yokoi said succinctly on Instagram yesterday, “Looking forward to cheering everyone on Tuesday! Then longing for OTH19”. Rebecca has two kids racing, and nieces and a brother in law, Eric Williams, who center their summer with OTH.

So as we gear up to the finale here’s what you can expect at OTH tomorrow. Along with some surprises. Sponsors are Going big…at the Finale…it’s our biggest show of the summer.

Who gets awards tomorrow?

• Everyone is guaranteed to get a smile!
• Kids with helmet stickers: Prizes awarded for 6, 10 and the ultimate award is for 12. A customized OTH Kids T-shirt with your name on it.
• 6 race podium winners: Beginners & Intermediate
  • 3 deep- 1st, 2nd, 3rd
• 12 race podium winners: Kids 9-11yrs, Juniors A & B, Sport through Elite
  • 5 deep- 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
• Top 30% finishers on Tuesday get their final customer pint glass (different every week)
• And of course the 1st place finisher in each category goes home with a Skull Technologies by Two Brothers Leader’s Jersey.

Winner from week 8: Jax Bicycle Center gave away this Roscoe to a racer and said: “Someone is ready to crush Over the Hump Mountain Bike Race Series race #10 on her new Trek Bicycle Roscoe!”

Union Sport Win to Spin

Don’t miss out @raceoc get your chance to Spin-to-Win. Winners of each category for the night will get to spin the wheel and win some swag.
Saddle winners will to go to a local dealer to get fitted and to pick up their new UnionSport Saddle.

Finale Schedule:

• 4:00pm Gates Open for Reg and Pre-Ride
• 4:00-8:00pm Exhibit area Merchandise Booth and food and drink including Wahoos, Bowl of Heaven and the Giant Beer and Wine Cooler- open all night
• 5:30pm Kid’s Race (ages 6-8 / $10 each)
• 6:00pm Main Event
• 7:15pm Results posted for 10 minute review (only protest window this week)
• 7:30pm Awards Ceremony – Bring a chair, cash and a sweatshirt (or buy one of our) for Wahoo’s, Docent Brewing, podiums and some special (anyone can win non-racer) prizes too.  Stay and you might win!
• Our goal is to complete the celebration by 8:30pm

Adult race $30 online or $35 onsite  AND Kids race for only $10
