Kyle Strait brings his experience as expert builder and professional racer to Irvine Lake, to collaborate with Over the Hump Mountain Bike Race. The signature of Kyle's flow, and the Straits' commitment to pro cash promises to create a blockbuster event.
Kyle will be racing the Pro Class, while Rachel runs the show!

We call it a party that happens to be a bike race. But everyone knows it's serious competiion and ferris wheel of fun.35 classes, 3 race series, kid's activities and all driven by RULE #1 "HAVE FUN". There's a class for you, discover the thrill of MTB Racing with the tribe.
BONUS: Race 3 November 9, 2024 will be operated with the OCMTB.com Limestone Canyon Race for an epic "Long Course" Sport to Elite
Schedule:
One Day Event Format: SATURDAY SEPT. 7 & NOV. 9- We are pumped to get back at it November 9th : cooler temps, and another great day “in the FUN”. We’re packing the action into just 1 day, amping the stoke factor up to 10. All cross country races 1st Timers will start at the same time, and all slalom qualifying, and racing will be Saturday.
*Note: Schedule will be slightly different for November race due to time change
Food trucks will be onsite serving coffee, breakfast, lunch before, during and after the race along with beer from Docent Brewing and other non-alcoholic drinks.
Parking is $5/car unless you drive a Mazda, then it's free.
*SCHEDULE NOTE: We have created a tight and fluid schedule, in order to maximize the day and your enjoyment, while we minimize the affects of a hot day. This Saturday, September 7th, will operate like our standard Tuesday schedule flow.

7:00 am – Plate Pick-up at Irvine Lake (Cross Country and Dual Slalom)
7:00 am – Pre-ride Cross Country-ALL COURSES
7:30 am - All Slalom Practice
8:30 am – 9:00 am Pro Only Slalom Practice-
8:30 am – Kid’s Race Start Kid’s Race (6-11Yrs)
9:00 am ALL Cross Country Race Start Long & Short Course (staged by class)
9:00 am –Pro Slalom Qualifying
Approx 10:00 am –11:00 am Amateur Slalom Practice
11:00 am – approx 12:30pm Amateur Slalom Qualifying
12:30 pm – 1:00 pm Strait Acres Slalom Pro Practice
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Finals Strait Acres Dual Slalom Pro & Amateur

ATTN Slalom Racers: after a practice, qualifying or final schedule block is complete we will move to the next group. It is your responsibility to be aware of announced schedule changes through out the day. It’ll be a Wham, Bam, Thank You MAN day fo’ sho’!
