Timing and Scoring Rules
Over The Hump utilizes an RFID-based timing system for rider detection and scoring. An RFID tag is attached to each participant’s number plate and is detected by readers and antennas positioned near the finish line.
To ensure accurate timing and scoring:
- Register in the appropriate class.
- Securely attach the number plate to the front of your bicycle.
- Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the number plate when crossing the finish line, including cables, body parts, or equipment.
- If you do not finish (DNF), do not cross the finish line with your bicycle. Please notify timing staff immediately.
- Upon finishing, promptly return to your pit area or remove your number plate before approaching the timing area (including the timing tent). Bringing a number plate near the timing equipment may result in unintended tag detection and inaccurate results.
Failure to follow these procedures may result in improper timing or scoring. It is the participant’s responsibility to comply with these rules to ensure accurate race results.
