Family Night Was a Hit

Every Family Night is our favorite, but this one was cool! If you missed it, sorry (not really sorry)…we have to show you what you missed.  And if you were there, thanks for helping making it cool:

Cool cars, cool food, cool people, cool contrasts (Like No Bike Signs, ha!), and a pretty dang cool vibe.

We are halfway through the season, and it is BIGGEST SEASON EVER! Tuesday night 740 racers registered, along with 80 Tikes charging off the start start line to hit it hard for the wildly cheering moms and dads. In truth, it’s hard for us to hold back our smiles, when we see social media posts of families sharing how awesome family night is…and even families posting they were sad to be on vacation the week of family night (Though the Wallace’s trip to Hawaii didn’t suck either).

At the half-way mark the classes have settled out, with Simple Green Leaders moving around week to week, it will be in the next two weeks that the competition really gets fierce. All the classes have 8 races, with a possibility to drop or miss 2 and still be in the running. All 37 classes are going 5 deep on podium awards this season, and it’s going to come down to the wire on September 7th’s finale.

Ultimately, it’s the fun we focus on each week. And there is plenty. As we begin to roll to the second half of the season, and the last four races, keep your eye out for more family-night-ish action like the upcoming “whip-off” , balloon toss, bunny hop contest, kids race and of course the Main Event Race Action.

If you haven’t dropped by one of the SoCal Mazda dealers, you should. The CX-30 and CX-5 are amazing rides, and besides getting the ride of your life…you also get free parking at every Over the Hump.
