Family Night Fun July 31 Recap

Family night fun was a big and little kid’s playground
Can’t believe there’s only 3 races left. The day started with Kawasaki coming through BIG TIME fixing one of our two Mules that they provide OTH, just in the nick of time (someone had been out and taken a joyride the week before in between races). Quick utility by Philip Matthew and Evan as we waited repurposed Evan Eisenhardt and his trusty Mazda CX5 as our rescue wagon … the CX5 was a perfect fit for the 3 hours we needed extra resources out on the course. Thanks Evan and Mazda.

Ready for the pass off. Mazda Cx5 Doubled as our utility vehicle on Tuesday, when the Kawasaki Mule came back to rescue. Check out that trunk space.
Family Night is all about the kids…kids, kids, kids.
Kids stayed cool climbing, bouncing and throwing water balloons.
Always a highlight with all the kids was the face painters straight form Downtown Disney…even the big kids got in on the action.
This week’s course was longer as we’ve built up throughout the season.
That also allowed for more fun, with racers having developed in the course of just this season. Coming back to the venue, the course was a short 3 mile lap for the Elite Racers to Sport and a longer 4.5 mile lap for the Beginners. Next 3 weeks we are going to have the Beginner Intermediate skip the Long Single track on the South West Side of the Road. Plus the Oakley lines willcome back into the Elite Sport Course. Look for some fun variations for all groups on the course, and allow for some awesome points accumulation across the full field.

Steven Bobrofsky rips through the berm on his way back in from lap 1. The whole group was tight for a majority of the race, making for some awesome trackside spectating.

Joining us this week, the crew from Santa’s Village jumped in to race…and with them they brought some bike park pass love. (If you haven’t been, head up to Arrowhead/Running Springs this weekend, and check it out)
Winners were Mike Bader (celebrating his 51st birthday on Family Night) and Kai Hunter, our Boys 9-11yr race leader.
G2 was out in force as the featured shop
Thank you to a full support crew including Jeff Schwartzman’s Mom marking legs and volunteering. Who says family night is just for the little kids? Thanks for the Support G2. AJ, Robin and the G2 crew have always been a huge support bringing cheer and good times as friends of OTH. Love you guys!
