H2O Overdrive Set to Roll Out Powdered Product at Interbike

The latest news from H2O Overdrive is they are rolling out the powdered version of their hydration product at Interbike next month.

What that means to racers, weekend warriors, and endurance athletes is you can now start & finish your ride with H2O Overdrive. Just tuck the stick pack in your bag, pouch or jersey add water….repeat.

The powdered version,  H2O Overdrive ADVANTAGE™ packs in all the performance you’ve come to expect from H2O Overdrive (read the science behind the product here).

You may have heard us say at Over the Hump, “H2O Overdrive hydrates at a cellular level”. Here’s what that means:

H2O Overdrive is NOT a meal replacement drink, an energy drink or a protein supplement drink…It is a HYDRATION DRINK.

Unlike any other product, H2O Overdrive ™ actually pulls nutrients into the muscle cells of the person using it, and does so about 30 to 40% better than pure water or other types of sports drinks can. It actually hydrates the body at the cellular level (intracellular—inside the cells). Intracellular hydration is the mechanism that drives energy, glycogen resynthesis, muscle function, stamina, protein synthesis and recovery. (See product comparison charts)

And all of that Science is fine and dandy, but what does that actually mean for you as an athlete? It’s one thing to see a designer watch or a pair of plaid shorts on an athlete, and know he/she is being paid for his or her endorsement. But when it comes to performance an athlete’s endorsement is directly tied to their performance. Here’s what two of H2O’s Top Performing athletes say about H2O Overdrive.

Sid Taberlay, Australia National Mountain Bike Champion, Olympian, and repeat 1st place pro finisher when he visits Over the Hump says, “I like the consistency of feeling good from the start to finish of the ride. Having the latest Sports Science is a big part of getting the most out of yourself.  It’s a great product on many levels & I’ve built a great relationship with the guys over that time…it’s like a family.”

Rob Rojas after Tread on Trafficking 24 hour Paddle at Dana Point Harbor

Rob Rojas, a San Clemente local, and SUP long distance paddle champion doesn’t do a workout without it. “I like the extra energy it gives me. I keep it in my car, and drink it before, after and during long paddles. Plus I really like the taste.”

The cool thing is that the nutrition gurus at H2O Overdrive built two version of their unique hydration formula, their flagship product H2O Overdrive™ is packed in a 20oz bottle and is more nutrient dense. It delivers more protein and complex cars and does boost energy and performance with the use of a small amount of caffeine, all with only 3 grams of sugar. This is their “pro” formula. Then they introduced H2O Overdrive HYDRATE™. This is the product that’s been featured at Over the Hump for the last two years. Still delivering all of the hydrating benefits, without the caffeine and sugar. Real hydration for all ages and all levels of athletes from all sports. Good news for all of us!

We’re looking forward to getting our hands on some of the new H2O Overdrive ADVANTAGE™  powder product in September.
